Mary Lynch

BIO / STATEMENT
I came to NYC from Wisconsin in 1978 and initially lived at the Parkside Residence for women, operated by the Salvation Army, on Gramercy Park South while I attended college at The Cooper Union where I studied both Engineering and Art. For approximately 40 years, I have lived in Stuyvesant Town and Peter Cooper Village. My regular employment has been as an engineer and my passion has been drawing and painting which I do whenever I have the opportunity. For about 12 years, I have been a member of the NYC Urban Sketchers, a group that draws together nearly every weekend. For 7 years, I have been participating in Plein Air painting competitions in both New York and Wisconsin.
