BIO / STATEMENT

Ms. Orito, a retired psychotherapist, with an extensive art career which includes artist membership at Ceres Gallery in Chelsea District, awards for both sculpture and collage from the William Benton Museum of Art, Point Park University, Monmouth Museum, David Antar Memorial Award, Helzberg Foundation; and a design career of twenty-four years as a moderate price sportswear designer, international design teacher and a Local Union 829 Costume Designer for Broadway stage, music, and TV. Preferred media sculpture and collage. Ms. Orito was a two-term president of the National Association of Women Artists Inc, and 8-year Board Member of NAWA. She is a graduate of Parson School of Design,  Marymount Manhattan, New York University/Clinical social work / MSW.
