Date and Location

The 2024 Gramercy Art Show will be held at the Salmagundi Club, 47 Fifth Avenue, NYC, in the Rockwell Gallery, from Monday April 29 through Friday May 3, with a reception on the evening of May 2 from 6pm to 8pm.  The show will also be hosted online at www.gramercyartshow.com beginning on 4/29, and remain online until the start of the 2025 show (date tba).

Submissions

The deadline for submissions is 4/8/24.  Artists accepted to the 2024 Gramercy Art Show will be notified via email the week of 4/8.  If the deadline is extended, artists will be notified before 4/29/24.

To apply by mail, include the following:   a flash drive/thumb drive containing the following:

​

• A file listing the artist's name, address, email, phone number, bio, website (if applicable), and links to social media accounts (if applicable).

• A file containing the artist's photo/headshot.

• Up to four (4) artworks files.  If your work is framed, crop your photos to remove all traces of the frame.  You must name your artwork files in the following format to include your name, the name of the piece, the dimensions and the price (or NFS):

Mail the flash drive/thumb drive to arrive by April 8, 2024, with a check payable to "Gramercy Neighborhood Associates, Inc.", (see ENTRY FEE below) to:

Entry Fee

The Gramercy Art Show is sponsored by Gramercy Neighborhood Associates, Inc., and current members enjoy a discounted entry fee.  For 2024, we have included an entry category where non-members can  simultaneously sign up for a GNA annual membership at the individual level AND enter the Gramercy Art Show.  (Learn more about all GNA Memberships here.)  You can also choose to enter the show without becoming a GNA Member.

• GNA Members: $35 

• Become  A  GNA Member and Apply to G/A/S: $50 

• Apply to G/A/S Only:  $65

Type & Size of Artwork

Artwork in any medium or size may be submitted.  

​

​

Originality

Submissions must be the entrant's own work.

​

​

Artwork Readiness

Works do not have to be framed, but must be outfitted for hanging.

 

​

Identification of Artwork

Artists must identify their work with their names and contact information affixed to the back of their work(s).

​

Delivery of Artwork

Art must be delivered to the Salmagundi Club at 47 Fifth Ave, NYC, on Sunday April 28th from 9am to 1pm.

Pick-up of Artwork

No work may be removed before the official end of the show (May 3rd). All work must be picked up at Salmagundi Club on Saturday, May 4th  between 1pm and 5pm.  Neither GNA nor Salmagundi can accept liability for artwork left after the official end of the show.

Sales

All art in the Gramercy Art Show (except art designated NFS) is for sale. Gramercy Neighborhood Associates will receive a commission of 30% of all sales. The artist is responsible for collecting NY City sales tax.  Sold work will flagged as such, and will be displayed until the end of the show.  GNA will notify the artist of any inquiries/sales.  Delivery arrangements are the responsibility of the artist.

Jury

A jury will evaluate the works submitted for consideration and make selections for inclusion in the show. The jury has the final word on acceptance and rejection.

Awards

The following honors will be awarded:

​

• Jury Award - Best in Show 

• Jury Award - Best in Show - Photography

• Jury Award - Honors (2 separate awards)

• Audience Choice Award - Best in Show 

• Audience Choice Award - Best in Show - Photography

​

Votes can be submitted for the Audience Choice Award categories through this website from April 29 through May 1, and will be announced on May 2 (at the reception), and on May 3 (on the website), where the artists and their work will be highlighted in a special gallery.

 

 

Terms and Conditions

By participating in the Gramercy Art Show, you allow your name and artwork to be used in publicity and marketing necessary to support Gramercy Neighborhood Associates and The Gramercy Art Show.   If you would like to opt out, or remain anonymous, please email us.

​Age Requirements

All applicants must be 18 years of age by April 8, 2024  Applicants under 18 will be considered on a case-by-case basis.  Please please email us for consideration.
